Michael was born in Manitoba and grew up in the Vancouver area. He is a proud Native (Cree) In 2017, at the age of 58, he attended his first tournament in Manitoba where he didn't do very well. He then attended the 2017 VanCity Showdown in New Westminster where he also didn't do well. He took those losses as motivation to train and get better and he has been with our club ever since. He competes as a Grand Master and we are looking forward to seeing him in action at the next National Championship!
